Mrs Ruth Aitken, the current National Coach for Netball Singapore, will share her philosophies on building a successful team – both on and off the court. 

Drawing on over 10 years national coaching experience with the Silver Ferns in New Zealand, as well as her recent work in Singapore, she will look at how to create and sustain a strong team culture and performance culture.

Mr Abdul Rashid (Head Strength & Conditioning, Singapore Sports Institute) has conducted research examining the physiological changes and responses in Muslim athletes during the Ramadan period. In this presentation, he will share his studies’ findings and provide practical ways and strategies in which coaches can use to ensure optimal performance and adaptation in training and fasting Muslim athletes.
